Siva Kumar brings over 15 years of experience in software development, information architecture, and data warehousing to his role as founding principal at ValueCap. He has built large, scalable data warehouses for leading financial, insurance, retail, and technology companies. He has also provided database architecture consulting to product development companies such as Torrent Systems, Skyfish, and AskJeeves.

Mr. Kumar holds master's degree in management from Lesley University and a BS degree in mathematics and computer science from Madras University.

David Rosenthal leads the Data Warehousing/ETL practice. Prior to joining ValueCap, he was Director of Advanced Development for Orchestrate, a parallel ETL tool, at Torrent Systems/Ascential Software. When Torrent was acquired by Ascential Software he led the team that integrated Orchestrate with DataStage, Ascential’s ETL offering. Mr. Rosenthal has applied his knowledge of data warehousing, high-volume ETL, and the DataStage product suite to help Fortune 500 companies and large organizations solve their high data volume problems.

He received a PhD from the MIT Media Lab and a master's degree in mathematics from Brandeis University.

Tony Passera brings over 18 years of experience in parallel data mining and analytics. Prior to joining ValueCap, he was Chief Scientist at Torrent Systems/Ascential Software, where he led the DataStage PX/EE development group and oversaw R&D efforts for emerging parallel processing analytics technologies. Mr. Passera has received several patents for his work in data mining and analytics. He has also worked as Scientific Consultant for Sun Microsystems and BBN.

Mr. Passera received his PhD from the MIT Artificial Intelligence Laboratory and his master's degree in computer science and mathematics from Yale University.
